Attraction Marketing System

Archive for Attraction Marketing

One of the most commonly asked questions I get is “Mike, do you have any MLM recruiting tips that I can use to build my MLM with little to no money?”

Yes, I have a boat load; however, there is one basic concept you must understand first.  If you don’t understand the basics of Attraction Marketing,  I could give you all the MLM recruiting tips in my arsenal but they wouldn’t do any good.

Like a house on a shaky foundation, if you don’t have a solid grasp on the basics, your business is destined to collapse.

Anybody that’s spent any time hanging fliers, cold calling, calling purchased leads, and trying to convince family and friends to join their business knows the sting of getting rejected over and over and over again while building their MLM or Network Marketing business.

These “old school” sales techniques have become more difficult for a new network marketer in this age of technology and the increasing role the internet is playing in our lives.

We are drowning in a waterfall of information and endless marketing “noise” thanks to the internet.

Think about this…we can’t look in any direction without a product or service being pushed in our face.  As a result, we have raised our guard and surrounded ourselves in ironclad fortresses to stave off the onslaught of hands trying to get into our pockets.  These fortresses have taken on the form of SPAM blockers, pop up blockers, caller ID, spyware software, and the “Do Not Call List.”  DVRs are not only used to record our favorite programs, but to skip the commercials, too!

There is little tolerance for solicitation and we just want to be left alone.

In the midst of all this marketing “noise,” there are two methods you can use to build your network marketing or MLM business.

1.  You can follow your upline’s advice and continue to play the numbers and see what sticks by purchasing more leads, spending more money, and having voicemails and emails go unreturned.  Simply put…getting rejected.

Or

2.  You can educate yourself, learn a specific skill set and then educate others while positioning and branding yourself as an expert and a leader.  Those that are following your advice are coming back for more.  As word gets out and your exposure grows, more and more people are seeking you out and contacting you in an effort to ask about your business.

Which do you choose?

Obviously, any sane person would choose number two as the method of choice.

Attraction Marketing

Here’s the deal…if you have even just an ounce more knowledge than someone with a common interest, you hold value to that person.  As you share your knowledge and skill through common mediums including forums, blog posts, and even social groups like Facebook or Twitter, you are positioning yourself as an expert.

By positioning yourself as an expert, you gain your prospect’s trust and then those iron clad fortresses they surrounded themselves in begin to crumble.  You will be welcomed with open arms by a group of raving fans that are drawn to your leadership, expertise, and skill.

Recognized as an identifiable leader and expert, these raving fans will turn into distributors begging to work with you and customers anxious to buy from you.

In today’s market place, this is commonly referred to as “Attraction Marketing.”

Here’s the deal. If you’ve been studying internet and/or attraction marketing for long, you’ve already seen this post. You’ve either received this in an email from somebody (possibly from me) or maybe we share mentors and/or a coach. Either way, I can’t take credit for writing it and honestly don’t know who to give credit it’s due.

I don’t make a habit of printing other’s work; however, this is my one of my absolute favorites. When I first read it, I was pissed because it described me. Now, I read it and see that we’ve a long ways to go as a profession as it not only happens in the physical world, but it’s taking on a life of it’s own in the virtual world in the form of SPAM in Facebook, Twitter, and other Social Media sites.

Enjoy!

A Little Mistake That Cost Frank a Lifetime of Freedom

I met a guy yesterday who absolutely loved his business.

That wasn’t the problem.

Here’s where this gentleman went wrong…

The first thing that came out of his mouth on our initial handshake was, “Hello, my name is Frank. How would you like to own your own business? I’ve got this amazing opportunity with this amazing product and the company is in pre-launch. Get in now and you’ll be set for life!”

Ok.

Honestly…Do you think Frank has a good shot at establishing any type of relationship or any chance at sponsoring distributors using this opening line???

Of course not! Its ludicrous to think that this could ever work.

I felt like I just got puked on by Frank and his business opportunity.

Yup, Frank puked on me.

And I definitely don’t want to do business with Frank now because I don’t work with people who puke on me…and neither should you!

This is THE #1 WORST POSSIBLE THING you could do if you’re trying to build a network marketing business.

This repels your ONLY target market, network marketers, because they could care less about your business.

This approach doesn’t work in person so why would anyone in their right mind believe it could on a website?

Yet I see MILLIONS of networkers promoting websites that are doing EXACTLY what Frank has done here: Puking on people by promoting their business opportunity on the initial handshake.

My question to you: As a current network marketer, how do you handle this when you encounter “Frank,” either in person or in Social Media including Facebook, Twitter, etc?

I’m anxious to read your comments below.

Thanks for your leadership.
